All you need to do to enter is to leave a comment on this blog, briefly outlining your plans for your garden in 2021. Scroll to the bottom of this page to comment (your email address won't be published). You’ll also need to be a subscriber to our monthly email newsletter to be a winner, so if you're not already signed up, fill in your email address in the grey band right at the bottom of this page. You can unsubscribe at any time if you don’t enjoy our monthly updates.
Your plans for your 2021 garden might be simple - ours is to plant more white flowers in the wildlife bed, to keep the all-day buffet going after dark so the moths can enjoy it too. You may want to grow more of your own fruit and veg next year, or branch out into new and unusual crops. Perhaps you have your eye on trying some heritage varieties of familiar favourites.
Or you might have grander plans - a new greenhouse, perhaps, to accommodate the ever-growing plant population in your garden. Or perhaps grander still, if you're lucky enough to have the space to play with - maybe a wildlife pond, landscaping a terrace on a gradient, or planting a copse of native trees... Whatever gardening vision you see in your mind's eye, we'd love to hear about it!

This giveaway is open to UK residents over the age of 18 only. No purchase necessary. No cash alternative is available. The winner will be chosen on the basis of the most inspiring gardening plans for 2021 and the judges’ decision will be final. One winner will receive one (1) pack of gardening tools from Burgon & Ball, either the Avid Allotmenteer of the Gorgeous Gardener prize as outlined above. Prize draw opens at 00:01 on 28/12/2020 and closes at 23:59 on 03/01/2021. Winner will be contacted by Burgon & Ball shortly after the closing date. Employees of Burgon & Ball and their family members aren’t eligible to win. One entry per person; entries created by a bot or a service that automatically enters participants are not eligible to win. We draw your attention to our privacy policy here. This spring I will be starting of my tomatoes and cucumbers and melons and flowers for my baskets and planters, I have gone for a red, white and blue colour scheme, my spring bulbs are showing there heads hopping for a good display, hopefully this year I will beat the codling moth on my peaches they get me every year, I have put in a few new plants looking to see how my new eremurus white beauty will do, can’t wait till spring.
Move shrubs. Make the garden more manageable. Buy new plants to suit climate change. Cut down on the number of planters. Keep it wildlife friendly.
I want flowers and more flowers and more flowers, I would like to grow potatoes this year and maybe some herbs and then maybe something else towards the Autumn. I have a book that I want to look at it and make a plan.
Through the summer I had a shetland living n the bottom half of my garden. He destroyed that bit so that will be rotivated and turned into a wild garden with any seeds I have gathered from last years flowers. Before that happens I am going to put some drainage in. With the rain we have had I am almost swimming to the shed.
I will be continuing growing fruit! In our small garden we have gooseberries, raspberries, blackberies, and a small cherry tree, bramley tree, braeburn tree and a conference pear tree! Just finished the 20-odd braeburns from this year, and they were gorgeous! Plenty of our soft fruit in the freezer to see us through the winter….
