• Anvil Action – the cutting blade chops down onto the anvil. Recommended for powerful pruning of hard and dead wood.
• Bypass Action - the cutting blade bypasses the anvil as it closes. Recommended for healthy pruning of live stems and green wood.
• Scissor Action – two blades, moving simultaneously. Recommended for cutting green or very slender growth.

The majority of our blades are made from high carbon steel, precision hardened and tempered to the correct Rockwell value for the particular task for which the tool will be used.
