The personal touch: our new personalised trowel – with a giveaway!

THIS GIVEAWAY HAS NOW CLOSED

If you’re looking for the perfect gift, don’t you find that a little personal touch makes all the difference? And when you’re looking to treat yourself, doesn’t the element of personalisation make it even more special?

Well, we thought personalisation would be a lovely service to offer to gardeners, so we have introduced our personalised RHS-endorsed trowel.

The personalisation is etched down the side of the tool head, in text that’s not too big, not too small – just the right subtle touch. We have a selection of three typefaces to choose from. There’s a classic ‘serif’ option, a sleek modern ‘sans’ style, and a flowing handwritten script. There’s something here to reflect your personality, whatever your style.

And as the personalisation is etched into the metal rather than the wood of the handle, it won’t wear off, become rough to the hand, or allow the wood to deteriorate. It will stay looking good, year after year, reminding the user just how special they are.

We think it makes a lovely gift. For a wedding, a retirement, a birthday, a new home… There’s so many occasions when a personalised trowel is the perfect present for a green-fingered special someone.

Of course, a personalised trowel has a distinctly practical side too. For gardeners who work communally – in allotments, community gardens, or perhaps professionally, with colleagues – there’s no better way to ensure that everybody knows exactly whose trowel is whose.

Whether you want a name, a classic monogram, a date, or even a special message, we’re happy to add it to the trowel. As long as it’s under 20 characters, you can take it where you please. Within reason, of course – we wouldn’t want to make the roses blush!

With his name on the trowel please, he has been my biggest cheer leader that has bought about change in this journey of gardening and growing. It’s made a significant change on my life of struggling with mental health issues.

  • What a great idea, as the main gardener in our family, I’d love a trowel with my name on it.

  • It’ll be 40 years this year that my wonderful Dad died in an accident when I was a little girl. He had an allotment and kept chickens and raced pigeons and was the best Dad in the world and a huge influence on me. I’ve inherited his green fingers and love gardening, and would use this beautiful trowel to tend his grave up in Yorkshire, which I do whenever I visit, and chat to him about all the lovely things happening in my life and how much I miss him. 💖

  • I would give it to one of my lovely plot neighbours.

  • Marie Carney – I would love my own personalised trowel. Something just for me 🫶
