There’s a shiny new calendar on the wall (in our case, showing some particularly lovely images of gorgeous gardens), and a New Year’s resolution lying not-so-shiny and slightly dented to one side – next to the almost-empty box of Christmas cocoa-dusted Belgian truffles.
If your New Year feels like it’s losing a little of its pristine newness, why not take the opportunity of a fresh gardening season to give your gardening wardrobe a facelift? If you fancy cutting a dash in the garden or allotment, not to mention keeping your extremities warm and cosy in the most wintry of weather, we have the perfect giveaway for you.
We’ve got together with our friends at Muck Boots on our first giveaway of 2019, and we’ll add in your choice of our ladies’ gardening gloves or men’s gardening gloves, and a super-comfortable Kneelo® memory foam kneeler too, to keep your knees splendidly mud-free in these soggy spring months.
Marvellous Muck
Famously rugged and ideal of all kinds of outdoorsiness, there’s a Muck boot for everything from the wettest dogwalk to the smartest apres-ski. There’s certainly plenty of choice for the gardener, from handy back-door Muckster clogs, to sturdy tall boots like the Wetland.
Like us at Burgon & Ball, Muck Boots are also an RHS licensee, which means the fabulous botanical designs from the RHS Lindley Library also appear on a selection of Muck footwear. The very stylish RHS Tremont tall boot, for example, bears a selection of lovely botanical illustrations, making it the perfect partner to our RHS Gifts for Gardeners collection.
To kick-start your year of stylish gardening, we have a pair of unisex ‘Wetland’ boots up for grabs. Retailing at £105 and available in sizes 4 to 14, the Wetland field boot is one of Muck’s most popular wellingtons, and will keep you warm, dry and protected in even the muddiest and chilliest of conditions. The stretch-fit top-line binding stays snug around the calf to keep warmth in and cold out, with signature Muck Boot neoprene to keep you comfortable even in extreme weather. These premium work boots have a rubber calf-high exterior which protects against sticks, rocks and scratches, and the air mesh lining lets your feet breathe whether you’re out on the farm, trudging across frozen fields – or getting your plot organised for the season ahead.
Glamorous gloves
To continue the theme of sartorial elegance and warm extremities, we’ll add a pair of our Dig The Glove men’s or Love The Glove ladies’ gardening gloves, which both come in a range of designs. You might choose our gentleman’s Dig The Glove Tweed design, for instance. In classic tweed fabric with genuine leather trim for a touch of luxury, this glove has a padded palm for protection, breathable mesh between the fingers to regulate temperature, wrist strap to exclude debris, and is washable at 30°C, to keep it looking smart.
Or you might choose our new ladies’ Love The Glove Oak Leaf design, designed to co-ordinate with our super-comfortable Kneelo® memory foam garden kneelers and knee pads. These gloves have the same high technical spec as the gents’ gloves, and are available in the most popular Kneelo® shades – Poppy, Navy and Moss. They co-ordinate with our Hip-Trug and poc-kit ranges, too, so it’s easy to either put together a personalised gardening gift set. Or if you already love the Kneelo®, why not accessorise it with the gloves!
To complete the prize line-up, we’ll add in a Kneelo® kneeler, for ultimate in gardening comfort. With twin layers of memory foam surrounding a firm-but-lightweight foam core, a Kneelo kneeler is the most comfortable you’ll ever try!
Visit Muck Boots at www.muckbootcompany.co.uk for more details, and find the Wetland boot specification here.

Wow, what a fab prize.
Now I am retired and spend more time in my (and my elderly parents) gardens this would be a great bundle. Boots in a size 6, love the glove in s/m oak leaf navy (gorgeous) and matching navy kneeler. Fingers and toes crossed !
I’m always out in the garden in all weathers! This year I’ll be digging new borders so these boots in a size 6(along with the other super products) would be so useful. I’ll certainly be keeping everything crossed.
I would love to win this fantastic bundle as it would be very useful to me on my allotment, which basically keeps me sane – it’s my go to place!
My last wellies decided to give up the ghost when I was on sheep-checking duty for the local council (mud and sheep poo slowly leaking through a tiny hole in my boots was not a Christmas highlight!) I’d love a new pair of gloves also as I have a lot of digging and pruning to get on with before spring really starts up!
