New Super Slice offers super-fast weeding for today's gardens

New for 2019, our new  Super Slice offers a new way to tackle weeding in today’s gardens. We've developed it to be superb at weeding in contemporary garden finishes, and of course it's also ideal for speedy weeding of larger areas.

You might recognise the wide, sweeping wings of the tool head. We've based it on our very popular Weed Slice, which has been extremely popular with gardeners and allotmenteers alike since we introduced it. It skims through the soil just below the surface to slice through weed roots and shoots before they get started, with minimal disturbance to the soil. But we kept getting requests for a larger version, to really whizz through the weeding over larger areas. So we super-sized the Weed Slice - and Super Slice is the result!

Hand forged in our Sheffield factory, Super Slice is a highly effective weeder. The arrow-shaped head is an impressive 23.5cm in width, and makes short work of weeding in larger areas. The high carbon steel head cuts on both the push and the pull stroke to get weeding done in half the time. It’s ideal for tackling larger weeding tasks, such as veg beds or even allotments.

It's also particularly effective at weeding in the contemporary surfaces used in today’s gardens, such as pebbles and slate chippings, which can prove a challenge for some other weeding tools. So many gardens now feature these aggregate finishes, whether for driveways, paths or dining areas, they're a real feature of today's trend for outdoor living. Super Slice is even suitable for areas covered by weed control membrane; because it moves horizontally just below the surface, and doesn't stab down through the soil, it can safely be used without causing damage.

Retailing for £29.99, Super Slice complements our other highly-effective weeding tools: Weed Slice, Express Hoe and Wonder Weed Puller. Together, they offer a complete solution for weeding in beds, borders, lawns and gravel. So keep on top of the weeds this year, before they take a hold!
